Easy Ground Beef Recipe With Balsamic Vinegar and Caramelized Shallots

I. Love. Beef.

If hamburgers and tacos ever stopped being a thing, I’d be a very sad lady.

I know everyone says red meat is bad for you, but I say pshhhh. There are plenty of great things about beef (especially when you get it from a local farmer) and believe it or not, you can eat it regularly in your diet without screwing up your heart.

I actually have more recipes for beef than any other protein.

I found this recipe when I was looking for more ways to use ground beef. Ground beef is so easy to use. It freezes great, cooks quickly, and you don’t always have to thaw it completely before cooking it.

For a last-minute meal, it’s one of my go-tos.

Why you will love it

This recipe comes together quickly and is really tasty. The caramelized shallots are perfect and the balsamic flavor is just delicious.

I changed the recipe a bit from the original. They were supposed to be bison burgers with shallots on top, but bison is expensive, burgers take longer to make, and this method cooks out the vinegar taste.

It’s not fancy. It’s not complicated. But it’s yummy.

What to add

To make a complete meal, add some cooked vegetables like carrots or roasted zucchini, have a piece of fruit, and call this meal done!

Try this recipe out next time you’re in a pinch and hopefully you’ll like it as much as I do.

P.S. You’ll probably find shallots next to the garlic. They look like this 👇👇

Happy Cooking!
